Pairs beautifully with Allbirds
2 years agoIt would not surprise me if we ended up down there this fall for another visit. If so, we should definitely meet up for a ride. In the meantime, take care of that ankle. Looking forward to following your travels.
2 years agoI’m glad it’s doing better! Don’t overdue, though.
2 years agoYummy!
2 years agoThe ATT is a delight and I think rivals the Neuse River Trail as the best in the area. Let me know when you're ever again in the Triangle Area - it would be great to meet you and perhaps go for a ride. I probably won't be back until later in the fall, but one never knows in this crazy world.
2 years agoHello Kathleen - yes, the markings on the belt seem to be a little splotchy so they are unlikely pure Belted Galloways. I am not an expert on large ruminants, nor a vet, but worked in Vet Schools and Animal Science Departments throughout my career. I do have a passing familiarity with most domestic animal species, though not all the breeds.
2 years agoBelted Galloways are a fave of mine. These seem to have slightly different markings than Belties. Are you a large ruminant expert?
2 years agoI am relieved to hear that you are on the mend! If you can hobble about and get outdoors for a sunny seat in a caffe, life sounds ok. Hope you are fit for Portugal!
2 years agoAll the names you mention bring back so many memories from when we lived in north Raleigh 20 years ago, just northeast of Umstead. And I biked the length of the ATT just last year while visiting my daughter and son in law. It’s a great rail trail.
2 years agoSorry about your ankle. This is becoming a bad habit. RICE is the way. Looking forward to your posts.
2 years agoBe careful!!
2 years agoSo sorry to hear about your ankle Susan and hope it heals quickly! I've sprained my ankle twice on trips and found I was able to bike using an ankle brace, along with icing/ibuprofen at night. Good luck!
2 years agoGlad you made it back to Paris somewhat safely! We'll be following your adventures and cheering you on.
2 years agoOh, crud. You do like the drama, don’t you Susan! It wasn’t needed though - I’m sure your journal will be quite interesting enough without any more incidents like this. Heal quickly!
