You’re still pretty far off. Are you going to make it, or should we save leftovers for you?

2 years agoThanks Rachael - I do think it's a ride that you and Scott would enjoy
2 years agoWow! What a beautiful ride. We are going to have to check it out sometime.

2 years agoWhat a great day. Your photos of the roads are so evocative of what cycle touring is about - look how wonderful it is right here and where does it lead to next.
2 years agoHow emotional Susan. When I was young I did a survey on the life of peasants in Corrèze. In particular to ToyViam whose indication can be seen on the photo of Bugeat. We were told that the name Mille vaches actually came from the dialect "Mille vatz" which means a thousand springs. There are indeed a lot of sources on the set. Have a good trip.
2 years agoCute! It gives it a very jaunty look.
2 years agoHi,
Your route criss-crosses the routes I took when I was last in the Limousin. It’s both fun and frustrating to see what I missed.
You’ll be coming through Gevrey in a few days, and we’ll have a chance to compare notes.
Cheers,
Keith
How very French!
2 years agoI missed Lascaux II when I visited the region in 1981; I must have misread my guidebook (remember Let’s Go?) because I went to Sarlat thinking it was there and then couldn’t get any further (not travelling by bike). I made up for it in 2019 with Lascaux IV. It was one of the highlights of that trip and you should get there if you haven’t already!

I’m closer than you think, it’s the journal that’s a little behind. Hopefully we’ll both arrive in Beaune on schedule
