Another challenging ride!
I see this was a week ago - wondering where you are now.
Am finally catching up reading your journal on July 3, the 3rd day of the
Tour de France so especially like these pics!!!
I’m impressed! The heat and the climbs sound hard but I’m glad there want anything dangerous.
2 years agoHopefully the hotel clerk had a little glint in his eye and a sly smile 😉.
On our 2017 trip I had read a news article that a Slovenian English Language school had put up a billboard with Melanie on it, captioned (in Slovenian) “See how far a little English will get you!” Both K and i were hoping to see it, but our time in the country was only for 15km’s, and I’m sure some lawyers got after it well before we got near the country. Good sense of humour exists (almost) everywhere though.
Your time in Slovenia looks magical …. It’s rocketing up our destination wish list.
Continued safe and splendid cycling.
Neither can I.nice photo though.
2 years agoYup. That’s the Slovenia I remember.

2 years agoI’m glad to hear you took a day off and got your bee sting taken care off! I hope it heals fast!

2 years agoIt's great to hear from you Mary Lou, and thank you for your very kind comments. I'm delighted that you and John got out for a small tour from Graz. I'll be in Austin for a wedding in mid-December. There will be a lot of family obligations, but maybe I can get away long enough to meet for coffee and catch up.
2 years agoSusan, it was great meeting you in Ljubljana at Figovec. You inspired us to do a three day trip on the Murradweg from Graz. We’re back in Austin TX now but using your blogs to plan our next biking adventure in Europe. Your blogs are incredibly well written, interesting and enlightening. Keep up the good work and happy cycling!

I do like the IPR jersey. A handy conversation starter.
