5 years agoWe’ve seen a few bastides by now, but have never heard of Eymet. This country is so amazing, isn’t it? You could spend your whole life here and keep unearthing new treasures.

5 years agoActually, those signs indicate NO pedestrians and NO bikes. That's the meaning of the red circles! However, it's quite clear that most pedestrians and cyclists have been ignoring them here.
5 years agoI love the story of Lawrence of Arabia bicycle route! Somehow that didn’t make the film. Maybe Peter O’Toole couldn’t ride a bike, though he wasn’t bad in a motorcycle.

5 years agoWhat a lovely town Brantôme is! With its canals it reminds me a bit of Colmar. We hope to be in this region next fall and will have to be sure to add it to the list.
