Interesting to read your story. I have been to many of the places in your journal, often with my Bordeaux cycle club. Curiously , in 2021 I also had cause to take a train from Laguepie near Lexos to Toulousse to sort out a hydraulic brake problem. Hydraulic brakes are great, but you do need to do the routine maintenance!

Thanks Scott - it really was a rather roller coaster day. Enjoy the rest of your time in Iberia, I look forward to the continuing adventures of Team Anderson.

Oh, my gosh. What a great story to end the tour with! My bike and I have been thrown off a few trains, so I understand the anxiety. Glad you made it in, have a safe flight home.

Thanks Scott for following along - and so glad that you enjoyed it. I always find your and Rachel's tours inspiring and informative. I do plan/hope to return to this region - after this trip I'm emboldened to try some of the more challenging routes.

Sorry you didn’t make it up to Cordes-Sur-Ciel, or east of Ambliet. The Tarn just keeps getting better as you go upstream, as I’m sure you can imagine.

Also sorry to see your tour drawing to a close. I’ve really enjoyed your journal and photographs. Thanks for taking us along!

We rode the Averyron Gorge about a decade ago and stayed in Saint Antonin also, but I don’t recall riding the corniche. What a gorgeous day!

It's always a celebration to finish a hard day, and this one was especially rewarding.

Hi Scott
I totally agree! I keep discovering more treasures to explore and revisit, wanting to dive deeper and deeper into this wonderful country and its people. I've seriously considered applying for a long-term visa.
