Very nice and informative journal. I enjoyed following along with this and the others that you recommended to me. Much obliged.

Yes, we would have needed a PCR test to cross the border into Lesotho and another to cross back into South Africa.

Thank-you. Good to know. I was wondering why you didn't go there, on this tour, since you were so close. Covid restrictions, I suppose?

As with most poor countries, the people in Lesotho tend to be very friendly and helpful, particularly in the more rural areas, which in Lesotho is almost everywhere.

Is Lesotho a friendly country?

Super, Jean-Marc -- congratulation to you and Leigh! Loved your photos of land, sky, and plants (roadkill, not so much, but it's a sad reality), loved your stories.

Look forward to your next adventure, wherever & whenever.

Take care, John

Glad you enjoyed it Rich. The payment for the scenery comes in the form of hills, hills, and hills.

The gradients weren't half as bad as the surface. Leigh walked more of the downhills than she did of the climbs.

Glad you enjoyed it Mike. It's great having someone like you who has deep understanding of context reading it.

One of the benefits of lockdown is that people are exploring their own home land and sharing their experiences.
Thanks for another great journal.

A full suspension mountain bike would be useful here!

Congratulations on finishing another tour! I really enjoyed your photos - gave me a new appreciation for the beauty of the South African landscape. It was great to follow along with you...hope to see another journal soon.

Similarly, I had never heard of a Numbat. Oz seems to have so many interesting animals, reptiles and birds. Definitely on our todo list once we are allowed into Oz and NZ.

Never heard of Aardwolfs. You see so many documentaries about lions, elephants etc. that these amazing creatures go under the radar. We have an equivalent animal that eats millions of termites called a Numbat, which are very rare.
