It’s hard to express how much I’ve enjoyed this journal! I’m so impressed with your fitness and ability to do the ride at the pace that you’ve done it. Congratulations! And thank you for letting me ride along with you. I really feel like I have a much better feeling for what it would be like to do this ride. Thanks so much!!
3 months agoThanks George! I feel grateful that the body held up very well. I stepped on the scale once home and I weigh the same. It's a surprise to me because everything feels loose. I guess I snacked enough :)
3 months agoCongratulations! I read your journal as well as your riding partner's journal. This is a very challenging route, and many folks that start it don't complete it, so be aware that this is a special accomplishment. Best of luck on your next tour,
3 months agoNature was a huge part of the trip. I always notice. One of my favourite things about hiking in the alpine is seeing different wildflowers.
4 months agoThanks for following along. It’s been really great hearing from people.
4 months agoGreat tour! Thanks for all the nature shots!
Not many cycle tourists seem to notice nature, let alone photograph it, and then make the effort to post with limited time, limited energy and limited internet. Good job!

It went both ways! We supported each other.
What a great trip!!
Wow! Congratulations in the process and in completing this monumental trip. And thanks for taking care of Peter. 😉

Another prickly pear.
Maybe Englemann's? or possibly another brown spined?
Wow, thanks Rich! It was an epic ride and much longer than anything I'd done or imagined. I loved it. And I enjoyed the journaling part as well. It's a great way to process thoughts, as well as document things because you see so much you soon forget things.
