Thank goodness you were able to stay in a hotel when the storms/tornadoes were in Refugio!

8 months agoYou mention the 30 mph headwind -- I can see the wind sock sticking straight out on the oil building. No fun pedaling into that wind! :(
8 months agoDidn't know about the "Farm to Market roads" in TX - those are much better than riding more traffic roads!

8 months agoWhen I biked the Southern Tier route, we didn't do the Hill Country. I said "we've done enough hills already - - I can always come back someday in the future to do it." :)

8 months agoNice that the La Loma del Chivo hostel is free for cyclists! I just checked their current room rate and it starts at $130!
