Minus Factors
Environment: We felt we had to use bottled water here, not least because the locals do too.
We have bought very little bottled water. We carry a Sawyer Mini Filter (see https://www.sawyer.com/products/mini-water-filtration-system) and each day I spend some time filtering tap water into out bottles. It's one of the best pieces of cycle touring equipment we have ever bought. At about $30 dollars its a fraction of the cost of water and it cuts down on the plastic bottles.
Grampies Rock! Congrats on completing another amazing trip, and thank you for sharing. Hoping the engineering change on Dodie's knee goes well. Cheers.

Thanks Art. At least the first reality in evidence at home - Vancouver anyway - is a coffee maker in the hotel room and free cookies!

Nice job on the Journal.
Hope this comment takes as it's the second attempt at it.
No creams or aloe seemed to be available. More like giggles than sympathy from Dad. No problemo - I AM fierce.

6 years agoOh noes! Were you able to scare up any soothing creams? Aloe Vera by the roadside? I’m assuming at least sympathy from dad was on offer.
If it’s any consolation, you look quite fierce!
I’m seasick just looking at it...
6 years agoTadpole actually. Tadpole has the wide part in the front, like a tadpole. Delta has the wide part in the back, like a delta wing.
6 years agoThanks you three for the praise and good wishes - however undeserved, they are always welcome. Dodie

We have now bought a Sawyer too, but have yet to try it out. Your success with it is very encouraging!
