Great ride and great photos as usual, Suzanne. Loving this.
6 years agoSorry about your crash Suzanne even if you arent badly hurt it does shake you up. Your ride along the Romatic Road brings back the lovely time we had a few years ago. We are still a bit undecided as to whether to ride in Germany to Munich or in France but when I read your journal and memories flood back and Germany begins to win
Keep safe

I tried to explain in today's blog entry for Grampies Tour de France how the gradient could matter even on an ebike tour. I like the fact that you do not consider it even worth mentioning here.

On our trip just ended I noticed certain flowers dominant in certain regions: Provence - iris, Brittany - rhododendron, Holland - hydrangea. I guess it's a combination of people's preferences and the climate, but surely geraniums are always seen with fachwerk.
6 years agoRachael and I biked this route back in 1996, on route from Prague to Paris. Nordlingen and Dinkelsbuhl were real highlights of the trip. Thanks for bringing them back to life again!

That's a lovely romantic moment on the Romantic Road. What a nice little story.
6 years agoThe crash is not so fun. That and the itchy bites can put a dent in enjoyment. And yet you and Janos carry on.
