Those uphill gravel climbs in the heat are real killers, aren't they. We did one today and then opted for road riding in traffic. Figured if we were going to die it may as well be by a car as from heat exhaustion.

Stein am Rhine one of my favourite places. It is where Lyle and I decided to only eat cake for the day! LOL One way or another a beautiful town.

Stein am Rhein is really pretty, but a cycle through to have a look should be fine. Enjoy all there is to see near the Bodensee.

Europeans are much less concerned with public modesty, and will strip to the buff to change in and out of swimsuits, to dry off clothes, etc, as you discovered.
