I’m so sorry you spare getting such terrible weather and had to change your plans! I hope things start looking up for you. We’ve seen some bad weather but nothing like what you are encountering.
1 year agoSo delicious! They cast iron platter it was served on was screaming hot. I sure hope to find this again, but as it is Sicilian I may not.
1 year agoWe just noticed that Booking includes a description saying ‘managed by a private host’ right under the title. Never noticed it before so it may be new 🤔 .
1 year agoYes, we are working on getting accustomed to those too. It works out OK, but we miss the human contact with the host somehow.

1 year agoNo slides. They must be from all the recent rains, I imagine.
We’ve biked this part of the coast twice now. In ‘Southern Italy, 2006’ we biked from Policastro (south of Palinuro) to Pompeii; and in 2019 (In the Kingdom of the 2 Sicilies), from Amalfi to Scilla.

I was really looking forward to the Pollino National Park, ever since I read your account of it several years ago. But, it just wasn’t in the cards for us. We were talking about returning one day and giving it another go. There is so much to see and enjoy here!
