Jeff Teel replied to a comment by Larry Mitchell on Day 13 - still at Seward, NE

Larry,
I can relate to heat and humidity - they're having some here now, though not as bad as you were experiencing. Sorry to hear that ended your tour. Were you able to get back to it another year?

Jeff,
Your journal isn't only useful, it's awesome! I'm barely able to keep up with what I need to be doing on this trip, so I'll have to catch up on the latter part of your trip when I get back.
You had a tough go of it with that cold, but you endured and made it to the end. Well done!

45 bucks for a tent? That Starbucks coffee drink doesn’t seem so expensive now !

Jeff Teel replied to a comment by Jolyon Webb on Day 10 - ending at Newman Grove, NE

Mr. Webb,
From the information sheet I was given at the library: "The Elkhorn Valley seventh grade art class of 2000 submitted designs for the window, and Kyle Hasebroock's spiral design was selected. Local stained glass artist Pam Ashburn took the design and created the window around it. She used cut agates to decorate the glass and included two viewers that make a kaleidoscope of the window when you view it through them."

Bill,
This web may have been so heavy with dew that the focus locked in.
I certainly don't have any special talents using this phone camera. Though, just a few days ago I discovered that I can 'straighten' pictures when editing. That's a help.

Bill,
Thanks again.
I thought this fellow did a good job blending in with the sidewalk.

Nancy,
Thanks!
Every place seems to have something that's interesting, at least to me.

I was interested also, but there was no way I could get close enough to see!

I'm thinking Cary Grant in "North by Northwest" here...

That lightning photo is quite something. You were in the right spot at exactly the right time. Really nice photo Jeff.
