I was hoping you’d get a storage unit to sleep in at the Iola RV Park and Storage. A pecan tree is an okay substitute I guess.

Wood is great! Quite hard, but durable, and good firewood too.

My wife has a wooden spoon I made from it 20 some years ago and she says it is her favorite!

Osage orange!! We used to shoot them along the road.

We did in 2001. So all was good the end. Since then we have finished cycling all 50 states so that hot spell didn’t stop us.

Me too... if only I could remember just a fraction of what I look up!

Tim, Rich,
OK guys, maybe a few more Starbucks, or their generic equivalents, for special occasions.

Exactly what I was thinking, Rich Frasier!!

Rich,
Yes, now that you have me looking at it that way! Though this place is really nice. The bathroom is spotless, and air conditioned! I thought about hanging out there this afternoon, since I'm here for one more night, but it isn't bad in the shade of the trees with the breeze blowing. Their wifi is very fast also, and that's been helping me get caught up, journal-wise.

Larry,
I can relate to heat and humidity - they're having some here now, though not as bad as you were experiencing. Sorry to hear that ended your tour. Were you able to get back to it another year?

Jeff,
Your journal isn't only useful, it's awesome! I'm barely able to keep up with what I need to be doing on this trip, so I'll have to catch up on the latter part of your trip when I get back.
You had a tough go of it with that cold, but you endured and made it to the end. Well done!
