Oh - and your noon mileages are wonderfully inconsistent. Keep it up.

Appreciate your sacrifice.

Does that truck look a lot like yours?

Kathleen,
Thanks. The beard's all for you. I was planning to try to keep up with shaving on this trip.

That beard is looking very road-worthy.

Oh My Gosh! Your wife knows me!!! She is right on about that too. I would not like it if you cut back on your photos 😊. You have done a great job of keeping up, and even if you don’t totally finish until after you are back home, that would be fine too.

Thank your wife for me ;’-).

Bill,
Thanks again. I was wondering how bad its bite would be. This fellow seemed pretty calm.

Nancy,
Thanks. The Sun Parlor was my favorite.
I had a discussion with my wife early on during this trip, about not being able to keep up with the journaling. I proposed cutting way back, especially on picture postings. All she said was, "Nancy won't like that."
Thanks for all your encouragement.

Always liked finding these as a kid. Caught bugs and tossed them into its web to see it grab and spin silk around the future dinner.

We called them golden garden spiders.

Healthy looking sorghum! Maybe they irrigate it with some of that oil... :-)

Interesting! I didn't know cotton was a Kansas crop!

Not too many pictures for me Jeff. I found your post of the day very interesting. I do like Native American history and stories so this surely grabbed me. I also found the E W Marland story interesting and the photos of the Grand home quite complete. The sunroom had me wishing to sit at the table for breakfast. Until your story, I knew nothing about this oil Baron. So for me β€” keep on posting and telling the stories.
