Rain and no wind, I don't miss racing on days like that

This is a great exhibit for Kiersten's game of "is it garbage or it is art"?

I am one day behind in my reading. Too tired last night. We have a beautiful day today and gloriously flat 😎. Our legs are going to appreciate it.

Keith says he worried he wouldn’t have a pulse at the top. I told him no jokes like that!

That is my birthday so I will remember to be watching and hoping for a weather window for you 😎.

It is! He was really hot heading up. He wore a long sleeved jersey. We were cold going down. There was snow at the top and we added every layer for the descent.

I wore my light vest all the way, more for visibility reasons than anything. It was warm at the bottom, and most of the way up. I added my light jacket for the last push. We had been sweating so much that when we stopped to take photos we got cold very quickly towards the top. Then I added the warm jacket and still nearly froze until half way down. Next time I am taking my toque and full fingered gloves for the descent. We are so lucky we had such great weather.

That is hilarious. What a quick thinking innkeeper. The legs feel a little tired this morning but we have a nice flat ride planned and we think it will be good to ride. I really hope you have good weather in October. It makes such a difference. If we had had a day like the one in St. Moritz it would have been impossible. Besides, Rachael needs that shirt 👚.

Amazed by your youth and fitness! What wonderful scenary there is in the Tyrol we were blown away by it when we came over from naunders a few years ago. This part of germany is a real surprise to us - really very remote and not a word of English spoken. As it is german perfectly marked cycle tracks
Keep it up

Oh, great. One of Rachael’s favorite colors. Now we’ll have to go too.

How do you manage to take all these photos while you’re charging up those switchbacks?

Yup. Personally, I’m hoping the snows set in before we get there in a month.

Our favorite trick as well. We were cycling up a pass in the Pyrenees a few years back when we came across a familiar face standing by the road - our innkeeper, on a mission to retrieve his keys.

I would be interested to know what your resting heart rate is after all this conditioning. Can't believe you can do this! Good for you!
