Larry Cade commented on Zurich - A Smooth Flight and Smooth Arrival

Who would have guessed that Zurich had such a surprise? That festival puts a whole new twist to their staid/financial reputation. Overall it sounds like you had a great 1st day.

We are late to the Blog and started at the beginning, certainly not expecting this added complication and stress for you! As you said, thankfully it's clean water.

We really got a kick out of the Strudel family name history. Keith and I have never met a Strudel but we are absolutely sure we would like them ๐Ÿ‘. Anyone with a name like that has to be wonderful and growing apples, or at the very least operating a bakery ๐Ÿ˜.

We have just polished off another wonderful breakfast (no strudel though) and are headed to Trento today.

It was a detail of a large tapestry. We loved the MMM. As soon as Dodie is on a bike not fixed in place she can test out her new knees there ๐Ÿ‘

It was rather nice. It was also great to see everyone really enjoying themselves so much and still traveling.

Michel Fleurance commented on Merano - Strudel Trees Everywhere

The Strudel family name was found in the USA between 1880 and 1920. The most Strudel families were found in the USA in 1880. In 1880 there were 9 Strudel families living in New Jersey. This was about 47% of all the recorded Strudel's in the USA. New Jersey had the highest population of Strudel families in 1880.
They must be growing apple trees in their garden...

Are you in Italy now, or the Italian side of Switzerland? (Pardon my ignorance of place names. Today's sounds like Italy. Just a wonderful trip as usual.

Julia sounds so ... Italian!

But GNR? - Julia does not look like a heavy metal kind of kid.

Glad your camera setting is at fault, at first I thought it was my post operative drug induced vision.

No kidding. It looked like a nightmare to me. Remember the old sailing expression โ€˜you might as well take a cold shower, beat your head against the wall and flush money down the toilet because you get the same feelingโ€™. It was that kind of a sailing day.
