A very well-deserved celebratory break!
6 years agoAnd how was the visibility, by which I mean 'light'? Tunnels tend to be so dark, but I see this one had openings along one side.
6 years agoSpectacular!

6 years agoI'm sure switchbacks are your 'friends' - beats going straight up!
6 years agoI have to pause to catch my breath after just "reading" this section! Thank you sooo much for recording - and sharing - your journey in words and photos! Jackie and I are sitting in the San Diego Airport with another three hours before our flight departs, and your Blog has been a wonderful way to pass the first hour of a four-hour wait until our flight home (via Vancouver). I can't wait to move on to the next 'chapter' after we go through security.
6 years agoReminiscent of Hurricane Ridge! A very daunting climb ahead of you for sure (especially with pannier bags)!

6 years agoSuch a lovely couple and thoroughly enjoyable evening.
6 years agoI'm amazed with the wonderful cycling networks overall, and particularly with separated bike lanes like the one in this photo. Our province and country have so much to learn!
6 years agoTwo detours and rain! Good on you both for not letting that "dampen your spirits". Is English readily available in Zurich? What a lovely stroke of luck to meet up with Elana and Stephan who both had connections to BC.
6 years agoHi Larry and Jacquie - we have long forgotten the flood ... only a distant memory. Thanks for tagging along. Always great to hear from family, friends and others when we are on the road. Now you have a few photos to view. Keith
