What an incredible ride, chapeau for braving the challenges of the pass road! I am in awe of the amazing climbs and distances you have taken on, and with such elan! So sorry your trip is coming to an end. I'll be missing the daily inspiration!

An Ibis is our fall back accommodation. You always know what you will get a very clean room, a comfortable bed, good bike storage, helpful staff and a reasonably sized room. They of course miss out on charm but often at the end of a long trip they are just what we need. I am going to be very sad when your tour end. What will I read with my breakfast?

5 years agoThe colour of the water is amazing. I was just thinking about how long the poppy season is when you mentioned it on a previous post. I love therm.
5 years agoDehydrated isn’t a good experience either. Riding when it is so hot is draining, especially in the hills. Keep drinking...maybe ice cold beer in the water bottle? Think of the electrolytes!!
5 years agoIt was pretty funny. Keith had guessed at how far we would get before we were ejected albeit in the nicest of ways. His guess was pretty accurate and our off the bike wardrobe is limited. The fellow genuinely was désolé, but since we were more interested in the architecture than the gambling we weren’t disappointed.
5 years agoSorry you are having such bad weather! We are getting really hot weather and yesterday I got dehydrated but we are done with the hilly climbing and just have one more short day to ride with some shorter days after.
