Glad you are doing better. Hopefully the weather will get better and Keith will start doing better.

Hi Steve - you weren’t just trying to figure out the brand of underwear I wear - were you? Actually you are partially right ... it is fuel but not for a pellet stove. Its a bag of walnuts and raisins from Costco. We have 2 of these bags and they provide a nice snack of the road for the first few days. I was hoping to start out like last year with a bag of homemade cookies but it didn’t happen. So I just grabbed some walnuts and raisins.

My side would never look like Keith's, because I normally dump everything on the floor in a heap. Is that a baggie of wood for your pellet BBQ? (Y'know, I blew the photo up and still can not figure it out!)

Easy peasy, your side is the tidy one.

We think it was pretty silly to get chest colds before we left. You are absolutely right though, we have no agenda. We do plan to get to Aarau tomorrow and then if we are still under the weather we will just stay put for a few days. I am feeling on the mend, Keith not so much. Sitting under fluffy duvets and sipping tea in a beautiful hotel isn’t too hard to take though!

Hi Kathleen and Keith, So sorry you have coughs! I hope you both feel in top shape soon. At least you can take your time and with no real deadlines you can mosey along at a rate suited to your situation. Thinking of you and praying for you as you travel along. In spirit I am there with you!

Stealth picture. It is the only way I can get his picture in the blog.

Montreal for sure! But west is best 😁.

I'm with you on the 9-hour time change! I'd choose Montréal over Toronto, though.

Keith does not look happy with the choices. Vinifera says they have 85 varieties of wine!

We will. It is also forecast to rain heavily the first day out. A grand opportunity to test the rain gear.

We are just on our way home from a great tour of Egypt and Jordan NOT on bikes! Go back to Munich in mid July to pick up the bikes and continue on

Al and I followed the first half of the Andersons' 2015 trip in 2017. We didn't have time to do the High Alps part of the loop because somebody (not me) could not consider more than 3 weeks away. It was still fantastic and I urge you to do it.

Well, why not? What’s the point of planning if you can’t guarantee good weather for yourself in the process?

Good luck with the French Alps. We’re envious - we might dip in around the edges again, but I doubt that we could do a trip like our 2015 tour again. Do it while you can!
