Hello Susan,
As I recall, we really struggled finding a place in this area. Le Truel had nothing available. Covid had a real impact I thought at the time. I believed I found La Charmeraie through google maps. Looking again now here is a link that may help you.

We did not book our stay through Booking.com. We booked directly with the place.
Tough hill up but a great stay and a great ride back to the Tarn. Good luck!
Hi Scott and Pat
I'm planning my own trip through the Tarn next month - thanks for the inspiration - and am interested in booking a night at La Charmeraie. You made it sound wonderful. I'm having a little trouble making arrangements - I can book on line but there is no mention of dinner. My gmail address is susanlongcarpenter and it would be great if you could drop me a line with any hints on booking/arranging a meal. Thanks.
And you seem to be having another great tour this year - thanks for sharing.
Susan
Jacquie,
Believe me - not the norm. We just got lucky with an upgrade. Having said that, it sure is a nice way to travel by air!

2 years agoThanks Scott & Pat for sharing. Can't wait to read about the remaining 49 places to ride before you die. Happy Birthday again, Scott. Surely this was a memorable way to celebrate this milestone event!

2 years agoGreat journal Scott and Pat! I bet it feels pretty busy being back in the city. We’re just up the road in Girona and there is a wine festival, live bands and people everywhere. Tomorrow we cycle up to lake Banyoles. Glad we had a chance to meet on Mallorca. Looking forward to the song title of your next journal.
Take care. Dave and Scott
Ha ha! It was your birthday gift, Scott!! :-D Seriously, this looks like an amazing feat of endurance, especially as I had to walk my bike up parts of Capilano Rd on my first ride of the year...
2 years agoWow ! What a journey ! Loved every part of it. I originally planned to read it every afternoon so I could have a beer with you but I couldn't wait that long so I had a coffee with you every morning instead. Your photos really allowed us to experience the beauty of rural France. Thanks for taking the time to do the journal. Enjoy Barcelona !
2 years agoThanks Scott. Coming from you, Pat and I take that as a real compliment. The tour worked out very well and we loved every day of it. Having such nice weather always helps. Now that I have more time, I can catch up and following along with you and Rachael. Looking very forward to the UK portion. Thanks again.

Hi Scott and Pat, we had the most delicious lunch here! We recognized the restaurant from your blog. We also had decided to cycle from Lalbenque to Cahors via Arcambal, which was a great ride, thanks to you! Looks like you are having another wonderful trip. Sorry about your camera, so glad you were able to replace it. Cheers
