I could buy that alternative.
1 year agoThanks for reading- glad you enjoyed it! Hawai'i is my very favorite place on the planet though I doubt I'd be happy living there year around. It's great to visit every now and again.
1 year agoNo, not very palatable actually. I will stick to prickly pear fruit, or better yet, dragon fruit.

Enjoyed your tour even without a bike... My youngest brother moved there in '76. I've been there 4 times. I could easily live there!
Thanks for posting!

I like your style!

Oh yeah- thanks for the correction! I wrote peacock but meant pheasant, based on what Google Lens had told me earlier.
Might be a kalij pheasant

I'm glad. We sure enjoyed it too. I try to make an annual pilgrimage to the sun every winter.
We escaped just under the wire in 2020: we were in St. John when the news began to spread of a mysterious, highly-contagious new respiratory disease spreading from China...
COVID stymied me in 2021 and 2022. That made this year's trip all the sweeter.
[thumbs up]
1 year agoWith 5 inches of snow outside right now, I am enjoying this immensely.
1 year agoNot a very inviting-looking snack, though.
1 year agoI went to college at ASU and really liked to wake up in the winter, go outside to balmy 50 degree air and look up at 4 peaks covered with snow!

Definitely a barrel of some sort.
