If I'd known, I would have skipped a page to test your lawyer...
5 years agoI remember you telling me about the day you passed through Alzada. As I recall, it was one of your longest days of riding in your illustrious bike touring history--something like 650 miles? Of course, you had a tailwind.
5 years agoAlzada! I had a piece of pecan pie here. I didn’t hang around and use their WiFi though, because: 1) it was well after sundown already and I still had thirty miles to go to Broadus and a motel; and 2) it was 1974, and Mr Gore hadn’t invented the internet yet.
5 years agoI believe you're exactly right. It's always nice to hear from you, and it's also nice to have a reliable source of plant and animal identification. Thanks once again for your help.
5 years agoThanks Paul. I guess there is a fair amount of work that goes into writing a journal, but it doesn't seem like work to me because I have so much fun doing it.
5 years agoYup, swallows for sure. Looks like, and seems to fit behavior for barn swallows.

Keep up the good work and the good documentation - appreciate the work you put into the journal
5 years agoOh Gr-r-reat! After all these years of spelling it GRRRrrreat, now I have to start spelling great, Gr-r-reat. Darn that Tony the Tiger!
5 years agoThanks for correcting my spelling, but it appears we’re both wrong. After spending more time researching this important point than I can really afford (I’ve got my own Gr-r-reat! Journey to keep up with, after all), I see that the correct, official spelling from this cereal jingo is Gr-r-reat!
5 years agoYes, Utah's badlands are GRRRrrreat too. In fact they're both Super-fantastically-GRRRrreat! I really like that kind of landscape.
5 years agoGrrreat, alright. The Badlands photos remind me of the country just east of Capitol Reef.

Bill, you do NOT want to test my lawyer. Sure, he is uncomfortable in a courtroom and usually settles out of court for much less than his clients are suing for. But on those rare occasions when he doesn't lose his nerve, he has prevailed in more than 10% of his cases in front of an actual jury.
5 years agoThanks for reading every page.
