Yes. That's why I had to go there - to see it in person.

I definitely agree. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't.
Jeff
Tim,
It felt like it. But at least it was all pavement.
Jeff
Bill,
Thanks for the identifications you provided, including even critters!
Jeff
Kathleen,
Thanks for following along, and for all your comment entries!
Jeff
Tim,
The streets in Palisade were actually quite rideable. Lots of towns had streets like this. There were several even in the "big city" of Beatrice.
Jeff
Tim,
This steak was ordered medium-well, but actually had pink in the center. It was good.
Jeff
Kathleen,
Thanks! I don't think I was doing much different with picture-taking. Maybe it was just the scenery available.
My first thought when seeing the Deshler sign was that Lutherans in this town don't get along with each other. But then I realized they are sharing the same sign!
Jeff
Another great tour, Jeff. Thanks for taking us along.

5 years agoJeff,
Your photography has always been good and shown interesting things, but on this trip I'm finding the compositions and the subjects the best yet. I had a real belly-laugh at the sign in Deshler with the three flavors of Lutherans. O we humans!
I loved the Palisade streets. In Google Maps street view I could see
sidewalks and gutters but no paving .... just packed sand. Amazing ... and probably very cost-effective.
Yes. It works for me!
