Hi Tom,
You crossed my path from 2014 when I rode from CT to Atlanta. I stopped at the Evelyn L. Gallimore Pavilion in Denton, NC on a lunch break.

I very much admire your tours. I added my ride to western Switzerland from Zurich after reading your posts on cycling the Mittelland Route. Trying to figure out my next European adventure.
5 years agoOur tours are mostly in Europe, are always self supported, but we now in our seventies no longer camp but use guesthouses. We try to limit our days to 50 to 65 kilometres so we have time to explore places on our way and ride at a slow pace. We view the tour as being the whole experience, not just the get from a to b. So far we are still loving the touring experience and always eager to go again. It is a different feel when your mileage each day is shorter. Taking a sag, or a bus, or a train, or a day off is less a badge of shame and more a way to have a richer experience. Keep on going.

Nice coincidence. Denton was a morning stop for me as you saw.
