I agree entirely but never mind. cant stay another day as we have a booking in Avignon
Having read many blogs about riding the Canal du Midi no one seems to find it a pleasant experience - yes we can use D roads and have appropriate maps for that We have actually walked all of the canal du M from Arles about 14 years ago. What we think we will do is ride to Avignon tomorrow and on Friday take a train to Toulouse and then on great tracks. This has been a great trip, probably more challenging than we had imagined, thank goodness for my ebike, I cant get over how well ken has done on his regular bike

Your probwem was in following TI advice. The best way to find unicorns is to take the small roads down into the west side of the Camargue, towards Sts Marie sur Mer. We found the ride (and the Unicorns) magical.

We are having a wonderful time. Like you a bit weary at the end of the day so lots of sleep! Will this trip be our last effort? Having coffee in a small village in Provence at the moment aren’t we lucky

This brought back memories of our time in Nice and the beautiful people we saw. I was trying to walk in my leather sandals I think. Not very successfully! What an amazing time you've had in last few days. I feel very weary!

It is a great ride Jack but not easy

This stage of your travels brings me happy memories dating back to 1987. It seems there has been little change since then.

I'm really impressed with the way you two are handling the hills and the heat. I feel better when you get to your hotel so I can relax too.

Our daughter in law might want it. She is a costume and set designer. Anyone have a play to go with this torso?

It is lovely here Suzanne. The cycling isn’t particularly easy because there are constant hills and it is hot so it means short stages. We feel so fortunate to be doing this. We have only seen one group of cycle tourists since Genoa. I imagine we will see more once we get on more commonly travelled routes
Ciao

When I was a little kid my mother always told me about Oleanders so even today when I see them I think ‘Dont touch them you might lick your fingers and die!’
