Bruce we are BIG fans of Minnesota and even more so Minnesotans. We are avid cross country skiers and over the years have become friends with several people from Minn. through that sport. Good people up there.

Bruce, super late in responding, but I can't exaggerate my shock when I realized what I'd barged in to looking for water at that church.

Hey Rachel!! Sorry about the super late reply, but which town are you from? My wife and I are originally from Illinois too ... me from Moline and she from Lake Forest.

Mike, so sorry about the late reply, but SO COOL that you have Stoughton connection!!! I know exactly the cemeteries you refer to. We're transplants to Stoughton but after 33 years here we feel like natives. Thanks of the kind words about the journal!!

Michell Irving commented on How To Get Home For Mother's Day?

Hi Mike,
My maternal grandfather's family were settlers in Stoughton, Norwegians of course. I made it back there several years ago and found all of the headstones in the cemetery, Olson and Skaalen. Such a lovely area!
Love your journal!
Michell

A fun read, thanks. We may be kindred spirits, I spent a great deal of time in the principle's office.
