Looks like an invasive Ailanthus right there with compound leaves on the left hanging over the top rail...

Bad trees I've seen some local trails overtaken by them. Just like the sign said.

I didn’t realize Curwood was an American author. I came across him on LibriVox.org (public domain books recorded by volunteers). Very manly adventures with romance thrown in, mostly in the wilds of the Canadian north. I fell asleep to them. (https://librivox.org/author/625?primary_key=625&search_category=author&search_page=1&search_form=get_results).

Very cool to see his place. Not surprised to see the statue of him as a major sportsman.

I’ve had up close and personal experience with those trees and I greatly dislike them. Hard to get rid of. Good for this organization for working on it.

Jeff, I’m trying to picture you at the nudist campground. Does not compute. Glad you made other arrangements. Thanks so much for your journals and pictures.

I don't know how many times I've had that experience of sliding to the bottom of my tent during the night . . . or to the right side or left side of my tent . . . but I wish, at least once, I would have described it like you did.

I know it's pretty late in your tour to say I admire your route. I don't know much about it, but I DO know nobody else has done your circuit.

One more thing: I had been riding my bike for several decades before I ever heard the term "cycling kit." Apparently, it refers to the clothing one wears while riding his or her bicycle. In that light, let me just say I have serious respect for YOUR unique and unpretentious cycling kit.

It was great meeting you, Jeff. What as surprise to hear someone say "Hi, Jeanna and Kerry" as we rode down a trail.
I've read most of this journal. You tell good stories and your photography is excellent. I take almost all of my photos from the back of the bike while we're riding - not the way to get the best images. Your make me want to do better.
Safe travels,
Jeanna
