Liver and onions- one of Kerry's favorite meals, too. Not a common favorite meal!

Thanks Bill!! Patrick told us about you and I have been looking for plants or animals to take a picture of and have you identify them. Appreciate the info and I will update the picture.

Lockheed F-104 Starfighter. When I was a kid, it was the coolest airplane!

Terry - Fun fact - The state of Maine has the largest moose population in the lower 48, so maybe you will get to see that moose yet on the far east end of your biking adventure ;-)

Hey Tom,
We have driven this route several times when driving between Minnesota and Washington. We have never seen Sandy before. Maybe Remi didn’t need to go in this area.
Take care!

Hello Francine,
We did talk about you and Ken with Kerry and Jeanna at dinner last night. Kerry was going to send us your contact info since we are neighbors (we live in Birch Bay). Maybe we can get together when we get back and discuss our tours or go for a ride. Thanks for the message. Take care!

Hello from Bellingham, WA. My husband Ken and I recently finished riding the Southern Tier Route on our tandem on a SUPPORTED ride, so imagine my surprise to see you three doing the Northern tier rte UNsupported. Kudos to you!!! I had to write when I saw that you were meeting Kerry and Jeanna for dinner. Did they tell you about meeting us on the Erie Canal trail? After that 15 min meeting we emailed them a few months later and they took us on a tandem tour of northern Florida. Our blog is Gass-powered Tandem. Best wishes! Francie Gass

We have made at least one stop for a stretch and dog piddle stop by that large Sand Crane on our car trips to Walla Walla in the past.

I’m way behind on your adventure. You are doing great hanging in there, I am impressed. Enjoy the views.

Terry & Janet,

Hope you guys avoided the rain on your way to Steele today. We left Steele around 11AM and had a very light drizzle for the first hour or so & then it cleared up. We're in Medina tonight at the North Country Lodge. Would you be interested in meeting in Medina or Windsor to ride into Jamestown together? If you're interested, give us a call - 352-464-5823.

Hi Paul & Amy,
We talked to Rylan and he told us what a great 4th of July weekend he had at your place. I got to say we could of used your pool a couple of days last week. 😀. Glad to hear you are still keeping up with the journal. Thanks for the tip about the work gloves.

Take care and try to stay cool.

Taking a ferry sounds like a nice break from the bikes to cover some miles at the same time. Still enjoying the scenery in the pictures and yesterday's gas station stop looks like it had a good selection of work gloves if you're need something in a pinch! :) We enjoyed having your son Rylan and our Hilary, along with her sister at our house for the 4th of July weekend. Lots of fun by the pool, food and catching up with them. California is in for a hot weekend the next three days...please send us one of those drizzly days! Take care and safe travels, Paul & Amy Teaford

Hi,
We too plan on the ferry across Lake Michigan, so maybe our paths will cross again.
Our route is probably a bit longer than yours, but we will cross from MN, to the Gandy dancer Rail Trail(RT) and down to catch a series of 4 RT, at La Crosse to elroy sparta RT to 400 RT...check out our maps.
Also, the Anderson's(to Rome) took a nice route across, and our planned route in MI is very similar to Kalamazoo then we are going south from their route. We have pdf of RT if you are interested.
