Hi Scott,
We would love to see Istanbul again. It is one of our favourite cities. The documentary sounds wonderful.
All the best,
Barry
We’ve always wanted to see Istanbul. Maybe some year. Regarding your comments about the cats though: if you ever get the chance, you should see the documentary film Keri, about the cats of Istanbul. Absolutely charming.

Hi Mike
The worst was just outside of Prague - the bike route crossed the river and there was a 6 foot tall solid metal gate that was impassable. We had to lift our bike and panniers, etc over the gate. Thankfully a local came along and helped. This is unusual though.

Hi Mike,
That's for sure. For us the positives far outweigh the negative as we feel lucky to have so many interactions with locals. Once we get past the queries of "did you make it yourself" and "is it comfortable", we enjoy that this curiosity gets us past the normal barriers of language differences and shyness.
Plus, aren't we lucky that as couples, we enjoy riding together and sharing the adventure?
Barry
We have to put up with this on Australian trails as well.

5 Euros is a great price for a full lunch meal at the patisserie! :)
