Thanks Laurie! Maybe in Paris in the next few days we will find even fancier pastries. Dodie liked her Chateau stay too, but she has been sick - feeling quite a bit better now.
2 years agoAt least the birthday breakfast looked appropriate! Here there is so much wildfire smoke mom would have had a hard time seeing her pastry (okay it’s not THAT bad, but still pretty gross air).
Happy birthday regardless - we’ll look for some companion apple pastries to eat in your honour!

2 years agoEvery night there is a different accommodation layout to get used to. At the end of the stay we are experts, knowledge which becomes instantly useless. This one was pretty unique, but you are right, there would have been much grumbling had we found it in England!
