Hi Mark - In most cases, we go in separately if we’re on the bike like this. Once in a while, if the location seems secure enough, we lock the bike and go together. It really depends on where we are. I even remember a few times where we’ve hidden the bike around the corner of a village church. Unlocked!!
I much prefer going together, because Robin is a much better observer than I am. I learn much more when she’s seeing stuff with me!
I have to admit that it was easier to lock and leave our Bike Friday tandem than our shiny new Schnooks! One of the downsides of a new bike…
Just curious... do you lock Schnooks up, leaving the panniers on while you both go inside, or do you alternate visiting someplace?

2 weeks agoA second thought on this since you’ll be back with the car at the end of the tour. If there’s gas in the tank still you might swing by Chauvigny on your drive home.
2 weeks agoBeautiful shot. We stopped here briefly about fifteen years ago. But I’d love to see it again. The style reminds me of the exceptional church in Chauvigny just a few miles to the east.
2 weeks agoOh drat, it looks like you will be just starting when we are finishing. From August 12th to 27th we are going to go between Tours and Nantes with three of our Grandkids. No wine but lots of fun things to see and do. While we head up to the coast we will certainly enjoy following our former route. Hope you have fun!
