Smokers are an absolute scourge in Europe. You have my utmost sympathy on this point. Smoking and loud drunk talking. Unacceptable.

Pickleball is a good guess, but (not visible in this photo), the balls in use were standard looking yellow tennis balls.

My guess would be pickleball. The players tend to be quite crazy about it while neighbours of the courts are often upset about the noise.

The multitude of bike paths in Europe always makes us jealous. Cycle tourists, moving at slow speed, requiring frequent feeding and watering, can be a great economic boost to any area.

Reminds me of the Yakima Valley. The powers that be ought to consider extending the trail along the Yakima River out into the farms where there are wineries. This looks awfully nice.

When we came to it in 2018. The river was too low for the ferry torun and we had to ride over the gravel hill ☹️ Tomorrow you will ride through hops all day

The ferry is lovely, but we have heard that going by road takes one up and over a nasty gravel surfaced hill. We need to avoid that, so it will be an early start for us,
