Cool!
2 years agoI'm glad I gave it the "not the greatest" rating! I'm impressed that you took the time to read the saucer to get the bakery name!
2 years agoWe have a very soft spot for Leipzig. About 12 years ago we were there at a Heart Surgery conference there when Ken got some very disturbing symptoms off we went to the then fairly new and ver sophisticated heart centre Ken had an operation which was cutting edge at the time and he was back to the conference a day later and that problem had never reoccurred
We always think we will put it on at route of one of our tours but haven’t yet. The other reason is we would love to go to a concert at the Gavanthause ( spelling)
Really looking forward to the start of the wheels turning. Good luck Dodie it is such a great start you have planned
If I were you, I'd rather avoid Kamps bakeries. It's a chain (many bakeries situated in train stations have been taken over by them) and my experience is that they are very overpriced and their products are of mediocre/poor quality. But that's just my view (or taste ;-)).
2 years agoMy sister eagerly awaits your arrival in the northernmost city of Italy. She's a fantastic cook and I commit her here and now to preparing you both a wonderful meal. Her food is definitely a reason for living! I hope you get to connect. Safe travels!

2 years agoI first saw electronic transit passes in Bilbao in 2016 and couldn’t wait for Metro Vancouver to get a similar system. You might want to consider getting a Compass Card when you return to Vancouver. You load the card and your fare is deducted from the balance. The best part is that fares paid with a Compass Card are lower than if you pay with cash or credit card. Not to mention not having to dig for exact change. (In Bilbao, drivers made change.)
2 years agoWonderful. Good thing we don’t ride a tandem though.
2 years agoWasn’t the snow a shock this morning? In Victoria? In April? The afternoon was gorgeous, so the weather is just weird. Bon Voyage and have a wonderful, safe journey.
