White spargel is pretty expensive to buy, even raw. But spargel dishes in the restaurants are really costly. We have gone for it a few times, though. Really good is that strawberries are now in season, and those you can just wolf down raw!

You must be talking about a bottled product? We certainly filled a lot of water bottles from the sink!

I am impressed that of these many many tractors there was only one new to you! How about that one the guy seemed to be starting with a torch, and then he pulled the steering wheel and was turning it in the side of the engine. What was that all about??

We are perched right now just before Bad Tolz. More exceptional and wonderful stuff is coming, we hope!

The Allgau water is the best. Make sure you get some!

Local pagents are the best. Tractors mean food and it’s good to salute them.

That was a fantastic tractor parade with one I had never seen before a HAT. Thanks for the photos and particularly the videos when you can hear the distinctive sound of those amazing single cylinder ones. That area around Fussen has a wealth of interesting old tractors few of them I think are used now for actual work. When Tricia and I were in the area it was great to talk to some of the proud owners who alway invited me in to see their collections
Regards Ken

PS When we were there I spent a lot of time waiting. If we had been on your ride today it would have stalled and probably ended at the tractor parade 😊

You’re in luck; sparkle season extends into June. Usually.

It says no need to bring your cable with from home. Your battery stays secure on the bike from thieves.
What they don’t address is how their special plug prevents a thief from just stealing the entire bike, battery and all.

Hi Georges and Bellona,

We checked out your blog as well. Really good pictures from Strasbourg!

It was really fun talking to you on the road. Like we said, not many will take time to stop!
