Ignorance really is bliss. Without reading the news and following the stats compulsively we are free of COVID, (until struck down).

But yes, the populations we are walking among have clearly decided to hell with it.

Still it must be fun to read our blog and to recognize and remember all the places.

Not too long ago the Austrian government had so do the toughest covid requirements. Then they dropped them for a couple weeks, numbers spiked, and they brought them back. That lasted for a little while and then they dumped them again. Despite numbers being up here in Minnesota, the number of people masking has gone down more every week when I make a quick grocery run. I think the majority of society has decided they’d rather risk covid than wear a mask indoors. And that is why I’m not touring in Europe this summer, but I am enjoying reading about your visits to a number of my favorite places!

Your rough translation is quite good. You might learn German yet!

Yes indeed. We are impressed they still have them, they are so very fragile!

Is this where Avi and Violet’s tree decorations came from?

One of my most embarrassing moments was when in that shop was to pick up an egg and drop it! The fierce lady wouldn’t let me pay for it she just delighted in telling me what she thought of me. From then on Ihave only looked in the window

Most likely. Too bad, cause the bags look good. Sometimes people's behaviour really sucks.

Clearly German influence. It is a way to advertise the services and crafts available in the town.

This pole looks just like one we've seen in Fredericksburg, Texas. But then that area and town was settled by Germans.
