Sadly my backside does meet this description but luckily my cycling inclinations are about zero

Your sources are out of date Ms Anderson 😉

See you in the Lakes later! It’s a much drier day ( so far!)

Like you, I was sloshing my way through fairly determined rain showers as I walked round a very big puddle called Ullswater. 26 miles of mostly mud and treacherous rocks 👍

In many ways, I'm with you, Mark. My theory about this being downhill all the way remains seemingly valid. But I'm beginning to have a nagging feeling that you and I might be missing something, if only I could put my finger on it... 😁

No wonder it was so fast: ascent=3002 and descent=3012.
That's TEN FEET! ;-)

Oh how lovely to hear from you both! I'm sorry to have disrupted the routine on Thu but will try to do better. It's great to have you guys along in spirit. 🤗

Touché! I think the past week has probably justified it though. Of course, I'm sure Mrs M would be saying exactly the same 😉

It’s clear you are forming your daily rituals, obviously mostly cycling, but lots of breakfast and cafe comparisons too! But here, we have also created a ritual of reading your post before bed - in fact, eagerly anticipating it, to read how the day has been. You’ve filled the void left by the end of Race across the World!
Thank you
Mrs S 😊

Cake definitely makes the downhills easier. The jury is still out with regards to the uphill bits. I'll keep experimenting 😁

Yes, and dinner, and flowers. You don't stay married this many years without learning what's expected 😉

Fuelled by treacle tart - no wonder the famous Somerset ‘hills’ seemed flat!
