Those fish look appetising
1 month agoI love the story about the nature reserve and the pond (and the birds). Very uplifting!
1 month agoHi Bill, Definitely not right but not something that had accidentally been done I think. He was in a group of 7 riders with a tour leader and they had ridden around 300 miles so others must have noticed. If I had seen a fault like a cracked frame etc I would always say .
Regards
Andy
Must be awfully twitchy!
Possibly whoever assembled it did not know. I wonder about the disk brake setup too.
Hi Glenn, Good to hear from you and I hope the storm missed you. Slowly trundling North, need to reach Mumbai early Feb. This really is a fantastic place to ride providing you start early!
Cheers
Andy
Great stuff Andy, well done. I’m a little late catching up with your trip this time, but read it through last night. It looks great. I particularly like your improvisation here and there!
1 month agoHi, it looks a little warmer in Taunton now but getting windy! At least out here I know it will be blazing hot by mid day
Cheers
Andy
No vultures!
1 month agoI must be doing something wrong, I’m never followed by birds.
1 month agoYou escaped the country at just the right time, Andy. I'll be following your travels from far-off Exeter, where it's minus a couple, and there's snow on the hills. Wishing you happy adventures.
1 month agoLooks like a good start Andy.
1 month agoClever!
2 months agoI always love these planning prefaces. Bon voyage and I look forward to following along!
2 months agoHi, I am (technically) on FB but do not use it. I did post on here at the start of 2024 about the problems I was having with the Indian heat while cycling Mumbai to Goa.
The second half of my route from Hampi to Mumbai, along the Konkan coast, will be similar to your route but I am going to head more NW from Hampi than you did and miss out Goa.
I have spent quite a lot of time in Nepal, flying tourists from Pokhara, and I love that country - but I think it would be very different going back there after living / working there over a 5 year period.
It would appear that your adventure was just in time Andy. As a fan of change I always find it sad and frustrating when it negatively affects locals and nature. At least you’ve had two wonderful journeys.
