Sorry you were so cold, but glad you came through - this time. Please let the Feeshko know to get in touch with me so she can mail the Cariboo Coffee jersey my way if you succumb next time though. I’ll wear it proudly in your honor.

I'm guessing the white leaves are from a buckwheat (Eriogonum) but it looks like a little aster snuck in there too.

Yes, it looks like you got a good campsite, but not the BEST campsite. Too bad the Caves Trail is closed. If you've never been in a lava tube cave, they don't have the pretty rock formations (stalagtites etc.) that limestone caves have; for me, it's just cool being inside a tunnel that was once full of molten lava.

Hey Henry, I did stay at the campground. I'm thinking they changed things up a little bit since you were there. Site #13 wasn't anything special, but site #9 was exactly what you described. Unfortunately, that one was taken. I got site #16 which was the next best thing. Another unfortunate thing is that the Caves Trail was closed. I was really looking forward to that. I'm not claustrophobic, but I do use that excuse sometimes to escape hospital visits and crowded WalMart stores.
By the way, for what it's worth, I think I might know who you are.

Still, tough enough.

I'll never be as manly as Hemingway--not in tree sawing, and not in beard growing, and not in writing.

We just can't seem to connect--not even when you were right there in MY Town a couple years ago.

Hi Emily. That was a great route you created. Very adventurous and beautiful. I will definitely check out that link and the entire journal when I get back to Spokane. Be prepared for some comments on there.

Hey Greg - I see we sort of passed each other again! You are north of where we were in Twin Falls. But now we're down in the Provo, UT area. Looking for more fun!

How maddening! Where are the Sawteeth? Couldn’t they have cut at least a few of those view blockers down? Or if you’d brought your own sawteeth you could cut out a window yourself! That’s what Hemingway would have done, I’ll bet.
