Wind good for the dust!
1 year agoNow... they KNOW how to make a SANDWICH!
1 year agoI looked up the movie to see what the deal was about these tractors. Interesting story - how in the world did you know where these tractors were?
1 year agoI hate when that happens, but "no harm, no foul" as the guys I played basketball with would say.
1 year agoGreat to know your back at the home front
1 year agoI always smile at these signs in small towns that proudly list every attraction, no matter how minor :)
1 year agoJeff,
Hope you are safely and happily home. Like Nancy, I was a bit concerned. Kerry and will look forward to your final posts.
Thanks for this note Jeff. I have been looking and started to worry just a wee bit that you had not posted for several days. I know the feeling of ‘smelling the bar’ as you near it, so will wish you the best and wait for your posts.
1 year agoI got a couple days behind on posting, and I'd need to take a day off to get caught up. I'm anxious to get home, so I just kept moving. I took notes and pictures. Look for the last days of the trip to be posted to the journal next week, after I'm home.
Since my last entry, I've camped out at or near Clermont, Manchester, and Maquoketa in Iowa. I'm near Morrison, Illinois now, with one more night ahead before I'm home.

1 year agoI have been wondering that also, suppose you could use the wheel to rebuild it with new hub and some 14 g spokes
1 year agoJeff, what are you going to do with that wheel when you get it home? Is there anything reusable on it?
1 year agoHave ridden the bike to Preston on the Root River trail from Portage WI., camping in Lanesboro and Houston MN a few times. Your pictures are great. Thanks for sharing this.
1 year agoWe were at a camping outing in Lanesboro for several days this past July. We took selfies at this very same spot, but it took us a while to figure out how to use it!! Over a couple of days we rode almost all of the Root River Trail. Went to a fair in Preston at the fairgrounds where you camped. The whole trip was definitely a highlight for my summer, though we have had several highlights!
