Mike,
Yes, and sometimes it causes problems when they don't agree. There's that saying: with one clock, you know what time it is. With two or more, you don't.
The "smartphone" on the left is just for audio alerts from my Garmin Rearview Radar. The sound is plenty loud using the Ride-With-GPS app.

Mike,
It's such a routine with me that my hometown cafe starts my breakfast when I walk through their door!
Jeff
Kathleen,
You're making me smile.
Jeff
That's a lot of devices!
1 year agoI like bacon and eggs. Dunno about that pancake thing!
1 year agoToo nerdy! Well, I guess so. But be proud! Be bike fashion forward!
Those are the hardest working front pockets I know.
Kathleen,
I used a pocket protector years ago, until I decided it was too nerdy.
At work before I retired, and even now when not on bike trips, I carry more than that in my shirt pocket. Add a Fluke voltage detector, a 6-inch steel rule, and a pencil. I finally stopped with the Ideal continuity tester after I lost it.
Jeff
Kathleen,
Everyday at noon, I'm thinking of you!
Jeff
Jeff,
Thanks!
Things don't always go as I plan, which makes me think your 'no planning' may be best.
I knew you were thinking Arkansas, and thought I'd beat you there! Also, thanks to you, I planned a stay in Arthur, North Dakota, if I am still on-route by then.
Jeff
Karen,
Well, I ain't there yet, but am really looking forward to it myself.
As you know, my friend Kris is a fan of your journals. She said, "Karen Cook has named her bike Trucker. You should name yours." Thus, the discussion about "Good Bike", Bad Bike".
Jeff
Nancy,
Lisa's memory is just better than mine. It's always fun talking with her.
Jeff
Do we need to get you a pocket protector? Or two?

You're getting into my old territory, from when we lived in Lebanon, Illinois for six years. I rode all over the area, mostly on the network of chip seal roads.
1 year agoI liked riding in "downstate" Illinois, despite the rather boring terrain (very few real hills.)
