A refrigerator in the middle of the trail? Is there a story here?
You do a great job of choosing your food supplies and meals.
Gorgeous photo!
1 year agoThat looks like the Arkansas canoeing I remember from many years ago. The reason for my trips to Arkansas was to canoe the amazing Buffalo River National Wild & Scenic River, though I don't think that's what's in your picture.
1 year agoThat looks the Arkansas roads I remember from 40 years ago. They were a major challenge for my little Plymouth Horizon; I can't imagine the challenge they'd be for my legs.
1 year agoUh …
1 year agoYour waitress was right. The Trees and window frame make a rather nice photo of your adventure for that that day ;’-).
1 year agoSteve,
I was told it's a Southern Illinois drink. On one of my trips I met some ATVers in Wisconsin who were from Southern Illinois. They had brought their own supply of Ski with them.

Jeff
Jeff,
It was an eye-catching setup.
Jeff
Jeanna and Kerry,
Thanks! It turned out better than I thought, since the sunset seemed a little muted to me.
Jeff
Jeanna and Kerry,
Yes, downhill, then flat, off into the horizon under puffy clouds floating in a blue sky. At least it does happen sometimes.
Jeff
Kathleen,
I'm too old for the part.
Jeff
Kathleen,
I did enjoy the scenic ride.
Thanks!
Jeff
Jeff,
From what I'm seeing, I'd say a mountain bike is a requirement for successfully riding these Arkansas gravel roads.
I'm sure you won't have any trouble catching up with me as I head farther west into the hills.
See you soon.
Jeff
Kathleen,
They're everywhere! At least what they're dropping just bounces off me.
Jeff
Cool - probably not common for you to encounter a road named Teel.
