Mike,
I notice lots of tools along the side of the road that I would pick up if I was on a day trip. I made an exception for this. It's a Leatherman Wave that used to belong to M. Phillips.
Jeff
Kelly,
Sounds like I had an easier ride than you did that day.
Jeff
Kelly,
Wow! Another connection. And an interesting story! Thanks.
Jeff
Kelly,
I knew that you had worked in one or more movie theaters, but I never thought I'd be taking a picture of one that you'd actually owned!
I didn't see any train set up in the Hickory House. I certainly would have taken pictures if I'd seen it.
Jeff
Scott,
At least it would be easy to locate where the puncture is on the tire.
Jeff
Bill,
Bad for car tires too, I imagine.
Jeff
Nancy,
Thanks! OK.
Jeff
Jeanna and Kerry,
Yes! I'd say he nailed it.

It looks like quite a complete and full store of lots of stuff, including a buffalo on the dining table ;’).
1 year agoThis is not what I expected a ‘buffin that is kind of a muffin’ to l look like. Looks like a cookie with M&M chips. Hope it was tasty.
1 year agoMulti tools I find are always cheapo stuff that bends or doesn't work well, or is broken beyond repair... Nice Gerber a few years back busted jaw and cutting blade... still hoping to find another with replacement pieces.
1 year agoI found one on a hiking trail about 20 years ago.
1 year agoWe took our first overnight bicycle trip from Lamar to this motel. We were amazingly under prepared. We ran out of water far, far from town. We ended up calling a friend to pick us up so we didn't have to ride back to Lamar the next day.
1 year agoThere used to be a little old lady that owned this theatre. They sold pizza at night, they were the only food in town. Finally she got old enough that her son thought he needed to live closer. The theatre made a living for one, but not two, families. The son bought our theatre from us, and our house also (to sweeten the deal). Lots of memories for me on these days of your journal. Thank you for all of the photos.

Nancy,
1 year agoYou are right, it did look and taste like a cookie . . . a thick cookie. It was good and went great with the coffee.
