That don’t look so good, glad you had a back up
1 year agoAs an old ammo Quality Assurance guy from the early 70s, I would suspect the hub had internal defects not visible... The kind of thing that dye penetrant or ultrasonics might detect. I would suspect the hub was manufactured with numerous internal flaws due to inferior materials. But there could be other causes. I am no expert on bike hubs, which tend to crack at drive side spokes.
1 year agoJeff,
Have thoroughly enjoyed your journal and travels. You’ve given us a bit of a view of where we will be in the next few days as we go explore North Dakota and Montana over the next few weeks on our fall trip.
These are great landscape photos

These are all nostalgic photos for me - this is a rewind table - to rewind the reels of film for the next showing. We had an old ticket machine just like the one shown.

I always wish that farms/wineries/etc have giant seed packet signs posted near their crops so we’d know what we were looking at.

1 year agoI love those little towns you pass through, spend time in and find cafes for your meals. Small town America lives! The museum looks quite interesting in Page. And what a good lemonade fund raiser for the neonatal nurses in Hope. (Hope I got the towns right!). I may have missed back in the early pages, but you apparently have a reason for interest in old theaters? What is that interest?

1 year agoScott,
Thanks! It's fun to see what lies ahead, and I certainly could from this spot.
Jeff
