Just after the McDonalds in Zumbrota when you got on this gravel is my home on the right.
1 year agoI told Jeff that in those days (horse and buggy) the $10 fine was pretty steep. That was my opening to our conversation on Thursday. Had a nice discussion of where he had been and where he was going. I told him I had done some touring also. After I started back for home on my bike I wished I had gotten some contact info.
1 year agoCongrats, grandpa.
1 year agoGoats for rent. The first time I ever saw a huge herd of goats was several years ago in Northern California. I was mesmerized by the number of them and later learned about their work! Interesting.
Congrats on your new grandson. I know you would have liked to be there for his arrival, but you will soon be home to hold him, rock him, love him.
Being from WI that is hilarious
1 year agoCareful of the front end! Even snapping turtle babies like that have a bad bite! Experience sometimes is a pain.

Based on your original plan, I might expect to see you make home on Saturday, September 9. That is the same day (night) we will be getting home from Italy. We will still be following you from across the pond and really look forward to seeing your smilin' face!! :-)
1 year agoYou got your money’s worth out of that one! Good idea to swap wheels.
1 year agoThree wheels are best, but usually with all of them on the ground at the same time.
1 year agoThat back wheel is awful shiny.
1 year agoThat is great - all the visitors are above average. Well we know our Jeff T certainly is.
1 year agoBeing from WI, I swear that if you didn’t note you were in MN, I would say your in WI from the scenery. MN trails are all paved, unlike WI that are crushed limestone.

Jeff, This is my son inlaws parents farm at the top of the Sogn hill. The mailbox you see partly down the hill is where my daughter and son inlaw live on the corner of the farm. This hill has been used a few times on the "Defeat of Jesse James" annual 100 mile bike ride and is a challenge going up either side.
