I suspect those switch backs are
Much steeper!
Have you watched the Tour de France this year. Plenty of switchbacks on offer there!
1 year agoQuite common in New Zealand. I thought that the swinging door was to make it easier to step into the tub.
1 year agoThat's a great picture! Congratulations on your successful tour!
1 year agoThanks for pointing me to this Scott. It looks like we'll squeak by with our bikes folded and bagged, but I'll be sure to check each train.
1 year agoJanice, just a heads-up in case you didn’t know already. Trains in Spain aren’t like trains in France, and you’ll have more of a challenge figuring how to leverage them with your bikes. Be sure to read up on this ahead of time so you’ll know what to expect: https://www.renfe.com/es/en/viajar/informacion-util/equipajes/bicicletas-y-patines.html
1 year agoYes! There was one big pillow in the back. We used the two in the front. Hurray
1 year agoGreat photos! I can’t believe you’re almost done.
1 year agoAnd you have your own pillow!!
1 year agoI'm off to read!
1 year agoLast year was our first bike trip in Europe. We traveled from Amsterdam to Provence with our Bike Fridays. In Sarlat we discovered Cycle Blaze and Team Anderson through a chance meeting at the hotel where our bikes all spent the night together in the velo parking room. A very lucky day! Our first CB journal was from that trip -

Have you ridden in Europe before? This was our first trip.
1 year agoWe are cooking up a trip to southern France and Spain in October and November. It will be another bikes and trains affair, skipping around to several regions. On the playing field currently are Occitanie, the Basque region, Barcelona, Valencia, Mallorca, Andalucia and Madrid. It's shaping up to be the longest journey we've done anywhere anytime. Still ruminating on how much we want to bite off.
1 year agoJanice,
I see you have some routes on RWGPS. What are you planning? Curious minds would like to know!
Kelly
Thanks for not showing us a photo of the slimy noodles.
