If you gained weight, it might not be jet lag... ;-)

Congratulations on finishing a great adventure! I'm glad to see that you enjoyed it enough to consider another overseas tour in the future. Some of the issues you faced such as weird restaurant hours and no A/C at night would have been really tough for me and my cranky-old-guy mindset, but you persevered and adapted. Hope you have a good flight home, you're coming back to some hot weather! Best wishes for an uneventful return trip,

Wellll, I suppose I should try to get past our one sad attempt to get on the bus in Sablet. I still remember the driver smiling and pointing towards the bus stop down the road, when there was no chance we could get there with our bikes bagged and ready to load.
Always good to have options.

Another option to keep in mind are buses, which are more widely available and might be a better choice since you have folders. ALSA goes pretty much everywhere and accepts bagged folding bicycles. If you don’t have a bag with you they sell them. We’ve used this a couple of times in Spain when there wasn’t train service available.

I crave these connections. They are some of the most memorable experiences of our tours

Congratulations! I’m so happy for and proud of you both for making this work. Can’t wait to hear bout it in person in Tucson this winter.
