Looks fantastic! I think starting in Annecy is a better plan anyway. Geneva is crazy expensive for Canadians (and we liked the ambience of Annecy better too).
1 year agoThanks for reminding me that the maps for our French Alps tour are missing. I don’t have the originals but think I can still do fair job of recreating them. Sounds like a good rainy day project.
1 year agoLooks like a great tour! I'll be following closely. Our paths may cross, perhaps not simultaneously but by the looks of your itinerary we will be in the same regions in France. Bon voyage!
1 year agoHi Dennis,
We’re staying at the Citidines apartments near Gare de Lyon. If you’re nearby we could grab a pression. Good luck on your trip. I really appreciate and agree with your thoughts on long tours. Three weeks has always been our break-over point too.
Thanks Scott,
It is a great itinerary, as you will know ‘cause most of it’s yours! Thanks again for laying the groundwork and giving us the inspiration to do this. Hope the rest of your Italian trip goes well.
Oh Yeah. But we’re finishing at sea level so it’s net downhill!
1 year agoThanks for the very kind words and wishes for our tour. We will enjoy (and raise a few toasts to you two along the way!)
1 year agoHooray! I’ve been hoping we’d see you on the road over here again. Looks like a fantastic itinerary.
1 year agoHey Rachael, remember you’re not following us, we’re following you (almost literally)! Looks like you’re having another wonderful trip in Pulgia. I’ve heard you will be passing through Canmore this summer, if and when you do we’ll have to get together.
1 year agoMuch better!
1 year agoNow that we are slowing down because of Scott’s health issues it will be great to live vicariously through you! I love your writing. Enjoy!
1 year agoI look forward to following your tour! I loved Annecy and would love to go back and spend more time.
1 year agoGood luck and have fun. I might run in to you as I’m about to jump on a plane from Sydney to Paris and start cycling to Geneva on Wednesday.
