Imagine being around for only six years, and entering a modern art museum! I would be in awe! So, probably the girl with the yellow shirt.

While its snowing here, it is nice to see all the beautiful greens in trees and people enjoying a real spring.

Hi Suzanne,
After chatting with Susan yesterday, it looks like we may be able to meet up when you are in Sault. That would be great if we can pull that off.

It was a perfect day. We lived in Glasgow and Aberdeen. Two different times, we moved to Glasgow just after we were married and were there for 3.5 yrs.We moved back to Canada just before our daughter was born. We then moved back 8 years later to Aberdeen with our two kids and stayed for 4 years. We didn’t do a lot of cycling as the infrastructure was not good and it was a bit scary. We did cycle the CtoC route with the kids on tandems and there were huge hills. We also lived in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam for two years.
Lyle cycled many of the routes you and Scott cycled in the Lake District and Yorkshire when he was fresh out of university in ‘82. Hopefully we can share some stories when we meet this summer.

What a perfect day! I’d love to hear about when you lived in the UK. Where did you live and for how long? We enjoyed our 3 months cycling there, although, they sure have some steep climbs!

You hit the jackpot on a smooth flight to Paris! Wise decision not to bicycle into Paris.

Hi Jacquie,
Yes we zip tie the panniers together ( using 4 zip ties)after removing the rack mounting hardware as we don’t want it damaged and it makes the back smooth. Then I use a strap and cinched them together. Never have had an issue to be counted as one bag.

I don’t see one reading a book. That would be me.

Bonjour
We fly into CDG on April 26th. Starting our tour in Paris.
We are friends of Rachel and Patrick Hugens.

So you just strapped your panniers together and checked them? We might have to do something like that on our return journey as the weight limit might be lower than outbound. Seems weird since we booked everything as a round trip.

Congrats on surviving another one, and good call taking the train in from DeGaulle. Get some rest!
