That is so true Rachael, in past tours we often didn't stop enough to 'smell the roses' or in this case it would have been the poppies!

You definitely have to factor in all the climbing you did! You had some extremely challenging rides but it was great you also took some days off to experience the places you were visiting.

Hi Betsy,
Thanks for following along. Not surprising you liked the food descriptions for someone who “Ate Their Way Around Andalusia” ;)
This was our first time touring in Spain and we were really impressed with every facet of it.We will be back for sure.
If you’re passing through Canmore give us a shout and we can get together for a beer. We’ll do the same if we’re in Revy.

Hello from Revelstoke. What a great trip you had! Thanks for sharing your adventures. And for the tip about the Spanish post office bike boxes too. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your journal, and loved the food descriptions. :-)

Thanks Eva,
SOTD is really important for us as it provides another sensory reference to remember the day. Most of the time it really only means something to us, but every once in a while there's a song or video that's transcendent. I think this is one of those. So glad you enjoyed it.

Yes, it really is a magical place and Gaudi's ability to make it feel so aquatic is remarkable

Such amazingly beautiful spaces in Casa Batllo. We were so impressed that we visited it twice during the week we were in Barcelona. Imagine what it would have been like to live in an apartment in the building.

It was a wonderful trip. We are still reminiscing about this trip (and appreciating that we took the time to write the blog it helps jog the memory) As to where next, there are always lots of possibilities. I was just checking out the Veloroute des Balineses.( North shore of St. Lawrence River) . It looks interesting for a shorter trip. We get the service puppy next week so we will be close to home for the next while. Enjoy the rest of your adventure.
